Emphasis is on the description of forces affecting wetland usage and the social value of such lands. Forces studied include the laws governing wetland usage; nature of ownership; ownership costs such as taxes; and goals and plans of the owners of wetlands. Also considered are the activities of groups such as real estate dealers, and construction firms, and the influence of public opinion.
