| Abstract |
The availability of natural gas as a low sulfur fuel for electrical production was examined in light of historical usage and availability. The goal was to ascertain not only near term but extended demands. Projections were made out through the year 2000. Such alternates as coal and oil shale gasification, Liquid Natural Gas (LNG), and well stimulation were evaluated. It represents a very clean fuel and, as a result, a fuel which can become an important control in the fight against pollution. (Author) |
