Abstract |
The Jylha Tandem Thermomechanical pulp (TMP) production process converts wood chips or saw mill waste to pulp for newspaper print. The Jylha Tandem process differs from conventional TMP processes by pressurizing the refining along the whole line and recovering the energy in the form of steam. This results in up to 80 percent recovery of the refining energy, which can be used as energy to drive other mill operations. |
