This Environmental Impact Statement presents information to the public to assist in the decisionmaking process; it highlights the environmentally sensitive areas in the City of Los Angeles and its metropolitan region; it defines the role that wastewater treatment alternatives play in changing the existing environment of these areas; it evaluates the potential for water reclamation and conservation. The major environmental issues identified are: total sewage system capacity, location, ocean discharge, and reclamation. |
