The Office of Drinking Water (WH-550), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) has prepared a Drinking Water Criteria Document on chlordane, heptachlor and heptachlor epoxide. This Criteria Document is an extensive review of the following topics: Physical and chemical properties of chlordane, heptachlor, and heptachlor epoxide; Toxicokinetics and human exposure to chlordane, heptachlor, and heptachlor epoxide; Health effects of chlordane, heptachlor, and heptachlor epoxide in humans and animals; Mechanisms of toxicity of chlordane, heptachlor, and heptachlor epoxide; Quantification of toxicological effects of chlordane, heptachlor, and heptachlor epoxide. |
