Abstract |
The Columbia, South Carolina, water treatment plant has experienced taste and odor problems since the spring of 1969. Water from the Broad River reportedly had a 'musty' or 'earthly' smell accompanied by a foul taste. The study encompassed three objectives: To determine the source or sources of the odor, to identify the odoriferous compound, and to recommend remedial measures. |
