| Abstract |
The smog chamber facility of the University of North Carolina was used in a study to collect experimental data for developing and testing kinetic mechanisms of photochemical smog formation. In this study, 115 dual all-day experiments were conducted using NOx and a variety of organic species. Measurements as a function of time were obtained for hydrocarbons, selected oxygenates, CO, PAN, HNO3, organic nitrates, NO, NO2, O3, total solar radiation, ultraviolet, dew point and temperature. All data obtained in the study are stored on the computer magnetic tape and are suitable for use in developing and testing kinetic mechanisms of photochemical smog formation. |
