| Abstract |
This report has been prepared in response to the provisions of S169B(a) of the Clean Air Act (CAA) that call for the Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to produce interim findings of available visibility related research and information. The purpose of this interim report is to summarize the results of visibility research published since 1990, both federal and non-federal, that relate to the research objectives stated in S169B(a) of the CAA. Evaluation and assessment of the results is premature at this time. Thus, the report describes or recounts the research and does not address its merits. Moreover, the report does not make EPA policy determinations about visibility protection. |
