| Abstract |
The mutagenicity of tetrafluoroethylene was evaluated Salmonella tester strains TA1535, TA97, TA98 and TA100 (Ames Test), both in the presence and absence of Aroclor-induced rat liver S9 metabolic activation. Based on preliminary toxicity determinations, tetrafluoroethylene, was tested at nominal concentrations of 0, 0.5, 3, 4, and 5% using the plate incorporation technique. Tetrafluoroethylene did not cause a positive response in any tester strain with or without metabolic activation. |
