| Abstract | A report of the emissions inventory of the Memphis, Tennessee Metropolitan Area is presented. The survey was intended to determine the present level of emissions and status of their control. Estimates are provided of total emissions of oxides of sulfur, oxides of nitrogen, hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and particulate matter. The emissions are delineated with respect to source type, season of the year, and geographical distribution within the area. The report included the following sources: fuel combustion, transportation, solid waste disposal, industrial process losses, and evaporative losses. (Author) | |||||||||||
