| Abstract |
This letter, its attachments, and the accompanying copies of health, safety and environmental studies are submitted on behalf of Chevron Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates in compliance with 40 C.F.R. Part 716, the Health and Safety Data Reporting rule promulgated under section 8(d) of the Toxic Substances Control Act (15 U.S.C. 52601). Our submission includes studies on substances listed at 49 F.R. 30188 (July 27, 1984). We note that some of the studies we attach are several years old. We understand the language of the rule to require submission of all studies which meet the requirements of 5716.6, without regard to the accuracy, completeness or reliability of the data or findings reported therein. Accordingly, we have not reviewed those aspects of the studies and we are submitting them without regard to whether we, in fact, ever used or relied upon them, or would use or rely on them today. Therefore, before any particular study we are submitting is relied upon for any purpose, an independent determination of its validity should be made. |
