Abstract |
The process described for the treatment of laundromat waste has proven effective, dependable, and economical. Coagulation and clarification with alum and lime followed by carbon filtration removed nearly all of the ABS. Filtration of the clarified liquor through a column of granular activated carbon proved much more effective, economical, and convenient that addition of powdered carbon with the coagulating chemicals. |
