Abstract This decision document presents the selected remedial action for the Auto Ion site (Operable Unit 2), Kalamazoo, Michigan. The purpose of this remedy is to establish Alternate Concentration Limits (ACLs) for groundwater and institute a groundwater monitoring program that will ensure that groundwater does not pose a risk to human health or the environment. It should be noted that the soil cleanup conducted in 1993 will have a significant impact on groundwater quality due to the fact it removed the vast majority of the source to further groundwater contamination.
