| Abstract |
The inventory, obtained through the cooperation of State Health Departments and local officials, shows the organized community water facilities for approximately 850 municipalities in the United States and territorial possessions of 25,000 population and over. These data reflect changes which have occurred since the last issue, dated December 31, 1956. The purpose of the inventory is to furnish, for the use of industries and other private agencies and all levels of government, up-to-date information on water facilities, particularly for large metropolitan communities. |
