Abstract The Technical Information Packages (TIPs) are a series of information collections prepared by the U.S. EPA with international audiences in mind. The packages focus on the key environmental and public health issues being investigated by EPA and attempt to summarize the EPA's pertinent techincal publications, databases, models, websites, and software programs related to these issues. Each TIP consists of an introductory text which provides an overview of a specific topic. Embedded with this introductory text are abstracts of related EPA materials. In most cases, users may link from these abstracts to full-text versions of documents or to databases, models, etc. Each TIP also provides information on how to order hard-copy versions of EPA materials. EPA provides TIPs for the following environmental issues on this CD: EPA INFORMATION RESOURCES describes major information collections and resources produced by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. SMALL COMMUNITY WASTEWATER SYSTEMS discusses the scope of the wastewater problem in small communities, wastewater collection and treatment systems, as well as sludge management.
