The sanitary disposal of refuse is important to the maintenance of a healthful environment for the millions of visitors to the national parks each year. Incineration is a method of refuse disposal which has application in many areas administered by the National Park Service. The manual is a guide for National Park Service personnel to assist them in preparing specifications for, and the engineering design of, refuse incinerators. |
