| Abstract |
When given by mouth, this material is only slightly toxic in experimental animals having an LD (sub 50) of >3200 mg/kg in rats. Intraperitoneally the material is slightly more toxic having an LD (sub 50) of 800 mg/kg. The solid, when held in contact with the skin of guinea pigs for a period of 24 hours, caused moderate irritation and there was no evidence that it had the ability to penetrate the intact skin since doses as high as 1 gm/kg caused no systemic symptoms. |
