| Abstract |
Methods have been developed and applied to ambient air particulate samples to identify and estimate elements and compounds. Preliminary to compound identification, the elemental analyses of some 74 samples collected on filters were obtained using a variety of methods. Oxygen analyses were made using a sample collected on a silver filter; X-ray diffraction studies were performed on samples removed from all-nylon filters, and on density separated fractions of these samples.
