Abstract |
The report summarizes the findings of a laboratory program for developing aqueous processes for removing NOx and SO2 from combustion flue gases. It discusses analytical techniques and scrubber design, as well as results obtained experimentally with a vertical spray tower scrubber: blended flue gases passed up an unpacked glass column, countercurrent to the absorbing solution which was sprayed down from the top. Na2SO3, NaOH, and Mg(OH)2 slurry solutions were tested. |
