Abstract |
The previous studies of La Mer et al on the flocculation of fine quartz dispersions with ionic polymers, as measured by refiltration rates and electrophoretic mobilities, are being continued. Emphasis is placed on the effect of molecular weight and molecular architecture of cationic polymers on flocculation phenomena. Polyalklene amines, for example, triethylene tetramine and polyethylene imine, with molecular weights ranging from 150 to 75,000 have been studied. (Author) |
