| Abstract |
Small-scale dry peat mining operations are having a significant environmental impact on inland bogs and fens in certain regions of the northern United States. This report characterizes the hydrology, water chemistry, vegetation, wildlife utilization, air quality, and nonconsumptive use values of inland bogs and fens to better understand the ecological significance and value of these wetlands. |
