| Abstract |
This paper summarizes current estimates of chloride inputs to the Great Lakes from various sources. It also evaluates changes that have occurred. Future chloride levels are projected with the aid of a mathematical model that treats the lakes as an integrated system. Management implications of current and future chloride inputs in the lakes are discussed. Particular attention is given to Lake Michigan. |
