| Abstract |
The document describes the EPA's Sole Source Aquifer (SSA) program which is used to designate certain aquifers as the 'sole or principal' source of drinking water in an area and thereby regulate Federally financed projects in the area that may contaminate the aquifer. Included is a list of the 64 approved SSA designations, the 9 petitions under evaluation, and a map of the location of these aquifers. |
