Abstract Forest tree thinning workers absorb arsenic from silvicides. Much of the chemical appears to be excreted from the body in a short time. There appears to be no evidence of a continuing increase in arsenic levels over a period of more than two months. Persons using these materials should be trained to observe all necessary precautions to minimize their exposure.
