Abstract The computer model described is used to compute the steady-state distribution of water quality variables undergoing consecutive reactions with feedback and following first order kinetics. The program has been developed in a general form but is specifically applicable to the reactions observed by nitrogenous species and the associated dissolved oxygen uptake in the natural environment.
