...presents an application of geostatistics for mapping non-point source nitrate contaminated groundwater in a two-layer aquifer in Central Nebraska. Based on available nitrate concentration data experimental variograms were computed and fitted using different models.... The results show that a continuous, high nitrate band exists in the upper aquifer which most probably result of agricultural production practices. |
