Abstract The report contains two articles dealing with investigations relating to the composition and to the methods of control of air pollutants emitted from the exhausts of motor vehicles. A report on neutralizing automobile exhaust gases presents the following information: Composition and toxicity of exhaust gases; Control of exhaust gases; Methods of reducing the formation of toxic components in exhaust gases; Neutralization of toxic components of exhaust gases; and Prospective automobile engines and extent of possible poisoning of the atmosphere by them. The second report discusses the determination of the composition of exhaust gases for carburetor engines under different operating conditions. (Author)
