| Abstract |
The Cuyahoga River has made substantial progress over the ten years since the Cuyahoga River RAP released its first state of the river report. That document, with the monumental title of 'Stage One Report: Impairments of Beneficial Uses and Sources and Causes in the Cuyahoga River Area of Concern,' described in great detail the environmental problems in the lower Cuyahoga River and the reasons for those problems. Major issues identified in the 1992 Stage One Report included concerns about the health and habitat of fish and other aquatic organisms, limited recreation and public access opportunities to the river and harbor areas, and human health and socio-economic concerns. |
