| Abstract |
A desktop computer program has been written to implement state-of-the-art algorithms for the determination the Most Probable Number (MPN), its confidence limits, and correction for bias. The program is flexible with regard to the number of tubes or the number and amounts of the dilutions used. Special attention has been paid to ease of use, especially when multiple MPN calculations must be made. Input can be either from a file or from the keyboard (results are written both to the screen and to an output file), and the program can be customized for up to nine sets of input parameters.
