| Abstract |
The 1996 Amendments to the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) require that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) shall, not less often than every six years, review and revise, as appropriate, each national primary drinking water regulation promulgated by the Agency. This report presents an overview of the regulated contaminant occurrence data, data management, and statistical methods used to develop national contaminant occurrence estimations generated in support of EPAs Six-Year Review of National Primary Drinking Water Regulations. Using the data and methods described, estimations of national occurrence and preliminary assessments of exposure are derived, evaluated, and presented. |
