This study details technical assistance rendered the City of Birmingham, Alabama, in the area of solid waste management. The report entails the review and evaluation of costs-reduction plans developed by the Birmingham Department of Streets and Sanitation, identification of other costs-reducing methods, and a review and analysis of current collection equipment with a plan to reduce overall systems costs, including manpower. |
