Abstract The report provides procedures for estimating the ambient air concentrations associated with bioventing. Bioventing is an insitu remediation process where oxygen is introduced to the contaminated subsurfaces to enhance biodegradation rates of the organic contaminants. Procedures are given to evaluate the effect of exhaust gas flow rate and contaminant concentration on the emission rates and on the ambient air concentrations at selected distances from the area. Health-based ambient air action levels are also provided for comparison to the estimated ambient concentrations.
