Abstract |
Recent advances in environmental sciences, analytical chemistry, and toxicology have permitted the development of a systematic and scientifically defensible procedure for identifying, assessing, and controlling chemicals which form residues in fish and/or shellfish. The report presents results of the first field study conducted on a freshwater site to determine how well tissue residue concentrations can be predicted in field discharge situations using the guidance residue prediction procedure. Further work on the samples from this field site are planned and these efforts will examine a much larger set of chemicals. |
