Abstract |
In its 1988 amendments to the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) Congress in FIFRA Section 19(g) mandated a report from EPA that would present options for encouraging or requiring: the return, refill, and reuse of pesticide containers; the development and use of pesticide formulations that facilitate the removal of pesticide residues from the containers; and the use of bulk storage facilities to reduce the number of pesticide containers requiring disposal. The report presents not only a variety of options for solving the problems about which Congress was concerned, but also includes the information gathered as a result of the study. |
