| Abstract |
The report describes the testing results of a 1988 Ford Escort Wagon equipped with a lead-acid battery propulsion system. The vehicle was tested for energy consumption and range on a Clayton water-brake chassis dynamometer at the EPA National Vehicle and Fuel Emissions Laboratory in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This testing was part of a round-robin test program with the U.S. Department of Energy, Ford Motor Company, and the California Air Resources Board. The report also describes the test procedures, a description of the test vehicle, the test facilities, and a discussion of the test results. |
