| Abstract |
The manual contains outlines which provide a basic knowledge and understanding of bacterial indicators of water quality and methods for their detection, measurement, and evaluation in environmental waters. Survey techniques are discussed with emphasis on the role of the microbiologist in both short and long term organized surveillance requirements. Multiple dilution tube and membrane filter techniques are discussed and these and all allied laboratory procedures are covered with adherence to the latest edition of Standard Methods for Water and Wastewater. |
