Abstract |
The decision document presents the selected remedial action for Operable Unit 4 (Areas 39, 41, 44, 48, and 49) at Naval Air Station (NAS) Whidbey Island, Seaplane Base. The selected remedial actions at Operable Unit 4 at NAS Whidbey Island Seaplane Base address the threat posed by the site by providing surface soil removal that will permanently reduce the mobility of contamination. |

ROD for operable unit 4, named Seaplane Base. Five areas at this OU an auto repair shop, a hangar, a salvage yard and a landfill. Chemicals of concern's (COC) include lead and arsenic in surface soil and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Remedy: Removal of surface soil and dispose in a landfill, cap facility. |
