Abstract This document provides guidance on use of results from photochemical grid models to test whether a proposed control strategy is likely to be sufficient to demonstrate attainment of the one expected exceedance form of the ozone NAAQS. This guidance describes two acceptable approaches for demonstrating attainment: a statistical approach and a deterministic approach. It also describes how corroborative evidence may be used with each approach in a weight of evidence analysis to determine whether attainment of the NAAQS is likely.
