| Abstract |
The report includes presentations at the Research Planning Workshop on Health Effects of Oxidants. The participants include scientists, administrators, and regulatory personnel from the following agencies and institutions: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory, Inhalation Toxicology Research Institute, EPA Science Advisory Board, California Air Resources Board, University of California - Los Angeles, University of Southern California, University of California - Davis, University of California - Santa Barbara, and University of Rochester. The focus of the entire volume is the EPA-funded research that is planned or in progress under Theme 1 (Health Effects of Criteria and Non-Criteria Pollutants from Fossil Fuel Combustion) of the Energy Interagency Health and Ecological Effects Program. The relevance of component projects to EPA regulatory activities is a frequent topic of informal discussion. |
