Report summarizing and synthesizing the research carried out in Finland for assessing the agricultural loads to surface waters and the measures for their abatement. Results show that agriculture is the largest single source of phosphorus and nitorgen water pollution and that reduced tillage, grassed filer strips along waterways and efficiently controlled use of fertilizer reduces soil loss and water pollution. |
