| Abstract |
The object of this investigation was to obtain basic data concerning the removal of organic contaminants from waste water by adsorption on granular activated carbon. To this end, adsorption isotherms for the organic contaminants, classified as total organic carbon, and the activated carbon were determined. In addition, diffusion coefficients relating to both internal and pore diffusion of the organic contaminants into the carbon, were evaluated from batch kinetic data. |
