Abstract |
The study site was a new campground septic tank treatment and disposal system at Islet Campground, adjacent to Waldo Lake, Oakridge Ranger District, Willamette National Forest, Oregon. The primary objectives were to introduce expedient methods for characterizing the ground water flow regime in areas either considered for or actively used for disposal of septic tank effluents by soil absorption, and to determine the effectiveness of a rocky volcanic soil upon the breakdown and retention of phosphorus and nitrogen from a septic tank effluent. |
