| Abstract |
The report includes three related studies which concern the monitoring of ozone and ozone precursors in nonurban areas. The first section presents results of an air quality measurement program for ozone, nitrogen dioxide, and nonmethane hydrocarbons at McHenry, MD.; Kane, PA.; Coshocton, OH; and Lewisburg WV. Monitoring station design, equipment, calibration, and operation are discussed. A quality assurance program describes the procedures employed and the results obtained in an evaluation of the interrelatability of ozone and ozone precursor measurements. Finally airborne ozone concentration measurement is described. An instrumented C-45 aircraft was employed in an effort to relate surface and lower tropospheric air quality.
