Abstract Physical properties, equilibrium, and kinetic constants for evaluating the transformation and transport in aquatic systems for organic chemicals of interest to the US Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Solid Waste during FY 1983 have been obtained from the literature and calculated from theoretical or empirical relations. Values for selected physical properties such as melting point, boiling point, vapor pressure, water solubility, and octanol/water partitioning, and for rate constants such as hydrolysis, microbial degradation, photolysis, and oxidation are listed for each chemical along with the source of the data. Values are reported in units suitable for use in a current aquatic fate model. A discussion of the empirical relationships between water solubility, octanol/water partition coefficients, and partition coefficients for sediment and biota is presented.
