||Records from 9100 collections of fishes from 1300 Oregon localities were subjected to cluster and detrended correspondence analyses to examine regional patterns in fish faunas. The results were compared to maps of aquatic ecoregions, river basins, and physiographic provinces. There was considerable agreement between the results of the multivariate analyses and the aquatic ecoregions and river basins. The agreement supports the use of aquatic ecoregions to help explain ichthyogeographic regions. (Copyright (c) 1987, by the American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists.)
