Abstract | Nutrients in water are important because they promote biological responses that may interfere with some desired use of the water by man. Analysis of the various forms of these nutrients is routine in many laboratories, but the reliability of the results obtained has been questionable. This study evaluates the precision and accuracy of the commonly used analytical methods for the measurement of silica, phosphate, nitrate nitrogen, ammonia nitrogen, and organic nitrogen. |
