Abstract |
In 2007, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) finalized a research program entitled Innovation and Research for Water Infrastructure for the 21st Century that will generate the science and engineering knowledge needed to improve and evaluate innovative technologies to reduce the cost while improving the effectiveness of operation, maintenance, and replacement of aging and failing drinking water and wastewater treatment and conveyance systems (USEPA, 2007). Task Order 59, Condition Assessment of Wastewater Collection Systems, is one of several projects being conducted under this research initiative. The objectives of Task Order 59 are to comprehensively review condition assessment technologies and to investigate condition assessment approaches for wastewater collection systems. |
