Abstract | Information provided to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has indicated that several I/A funded wastewater treatment pond/microscreening facilities are experiencing a comparatively high incidence of process and/or equipment failures. As a result, Gannett Fleming Environmental Engineers, Inc. was asked to conduct a technology assessment during late 1985 to evaluate the process performance, mechanical reliability, system operation, and design features of facilities employing ultra-fine media microscreens for straining solids from wastewater treatment pond effluent. |
