Contents Notes | Environmental Measurements, Inc., was requested by the U.S. EPA Region IX Air Programs Branch to survey sulfur dioxide (SO2) ground-level concentrations and total atmospheric burdens in the vicinity of oil refineries in northern Contra-Costa County, California. The work, conducted under Purchase Order #PP5090581B, was required to provide a data base to be used to better understand the spatial distributions of SO2 around these stationary sources. The results are to be used in the validation of modeling predictions to assist in the development of a replacement SO2 Regulation for the Bay Area Air Pollution Control District within the 2 July 1975 Federal Register deadline.
