Abstract | This is the sixth in a series of in-depth scientific literature searches which review the safety and efficacy of substitute chemicals registered by EPA as possible replacements for cancelled or suspended pesticides or pesticides in litigation. The reviews are part of the Substitute Chemical Program, initiated under PL 93-135 (October 1973). This report is on aldicarb, a registered substitute chemical for certain cancelled and suspended uses of DDT. Where applicable, it also identifies areas where technical data may be lacking so that appropriate studies may be initiated to develop desirable information. The review covers all uses of aldicarb and is intended to be adaptable to future needs. The data contained in this report was not intended to be complete in all areas. The report summarizes rather than interprets scientific data reviewed during the course of the studies. Data is not correlated from different sources. Opinions are not given on contradictory findings. |
